Radio Girmit finally launched on Sept 30,2008. We dedicate this radio to all those great music lovers and music makers of the Kannada music industry. Why such a strange name ? Check here to know whats Girmit.

But Why such a simple page? Our page is inspired by the Google homepage. We follow the KISS principle. We don’t want to be just another radio site, where the actual radio player is kept at some corner of the page and the whole page is filled with other content with hell lot of ads.

Cyber had a dream of starting a radio station (atleast online) and it has finally come true with his “Floor top”.Lets see why we chose Radio Girmit as the name for the Radio Station.

The name struck to Cyber while discussing with Appu , Cyber had always wished it to be traditional yet funky , he suggested many,we had almost finalised on one, but we waited again..And the next day it struck and we finally named it Radio Girmit.

Our great English scholar from Mudhol Mr.Koraka generated an awesome caption and disclaimer for RG. We even have a kannada version by our own kannada kanmani- Appu..
