Let us first see  ‘Galiye  Nodu Baa’ sung by the never-disappointing pair Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. It is a beautifully tuned track that pleases  the ears.  The instrumentals  are quite commonplace but the artistes’ rendition create all the magic. Soulful and endearing are the words that can best describe the same. Care has been taken not to flood the song with too many extra sounds and it works well.  Skilled movement across the octave is an added strength. Good one.

Next is ‘Bhoomi Suttodu’ by Sonu and Chitra. The composition is average in terms of freshness but the laid-back feel and sweet singing could well make this song stay on your playlist for a while.  Chitra’s voice is as youthful as ever and her fans will have a lot to enjoy while  listening to this song.The rythm of the song complements the voices and together they strike a chord with the listener.

That brings us to ‘Kannasaneyalli’ by Mohammad Aslam and Shreya again. This song deserves praise for its experimentation in terms of mixing fast and slow beats, spirited and slow singing  and the like. It starts off with Shreya’s mellifluous voice packaging words in honey and letting them out in a carefully  timed  manner so as to let your  ears receive each gift err word with pleasure . Aslam contributes well too. The tempo gradually picks up speed , gives a kind of crescendo effect and then gracefully slides back to the original pace. Chorus, swaras and shehnai-like interludes further  enhance the listenability of the song. Superb track.

KK and Anuradha Bhat sing ‘Marethoda maatide’. It starts off with a heated argument  that sets the mood for the song. Attitude is well-packed into the female  rendition. English lyrical dialogue are interspersed frequently complementing the male rendition which is paced slower and KK does justice to the same. The beats are engaging.

‘Kamali Kamali’ is next , sung by Malathi.  The tune and composition is the often-heard kind ; not very new.  It is a fast song and has heavy beats. The kind many refer to these days as ‘mass’ songs.  The singers have done a commendable job of singing the words with high speed while maintaining clarity in the output.

So that sums up ‘Sanchari’. Barring a few parts which seem to be familiar fare, the collection has some artistic brilliance not worth missing out upon. Listen today !
