The notes that united 4 ‘Jothegara’
Audio Review by WebVani

Sujeet Shetty, the music director makes his debut with the movie ‘Jothegaara’. A new bit of gyan for those who monitor the Kannada music industry. Yes,this new artiste on the block has come up with a few memorable tracks.Let’s examine them.
Firstly, the number ‘Jotheyalli nee baaro’ by Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal. Shaan is a favvourite among many cos of his ability to sing layers deeper than the lyrics while keeping the latter afloat! The two pair up in this joyful duet to produce an enjoyable 5 minutes in the company of ur media player. While the tune isnt really great, you can definitely listen to it occasionally.
Next is melody queen Shreya Ghoshal singing ‘Yaake yaake’. Mindblowing is the word. Range, tone, pitch, variation….u name it…Shreya shows panache in every trait an ideal singer should possess. Music is adequate and instrumentals complement the lyrics beautifully. Sujeet is indeed talented.
‘Jaaratari seere anchina’ by Udit Narayan and Kalpana starts off in popular folk style. Trust Udit to represent the voice of the grassrooters and the deep folk pockets of India.Kalpana does her role equally well. Energetic rendition by both make this number worth its existence. Music is typical fare and though not akin to an oasis in a desert, will still be the song of the travellers in the desert!.
Balakrishna and CHitra In ‘Muttaiderella Seri’ rock. Again the tune is average but the singers add life to it. I would give this song a 5/10 rating.
Kunal and Shreya. A winning combination. They team up for ‘Ondondu ondondu’ to floor the listeners. Kunal is par excellence and Shreya is as usual,a magnet to every musical ear. Music is okay, quite pleasant but not a pathbreaker. We’ve heard many of this kind.
‘Sona Kannalle koltaale’ by Sunaina and Gurukiran is the last song of this collection. Has enthusiasm but is again pretty average. Not many may opt for it on a personalised playlist.Classical swaras n tough-to-sing aalaap in the middle however deserve a mention of praise for the composer and singer alike.
That wraps up ‘Jothegara’. Sujeet Shetty has used some of the best talent in the industry and fans may enjoy listening to them. Overall, not a very good collection of numbers but deserves some credit for the director is a debutante.
